About
AsOf is a temporal fact ledger.
Each entry is one claim: a subject, a fact, the dates it held, the sources that back it and a confidence score. When a fact changes, the old claim is closed and linked to the new one. The record is neutral and open. The Brief is a daily read on what changed and what to do about it, kept separate from the record.

How claims are verified
- Two independent sources: published as valid.
- One source: published as unverified and labeled so.
- Sources disagree: both claims stored and flagged. Nothing resolved silently.
- Two tiers of display. Answer surfaces (the facts under an entity name, the state table, the home page, structured data, the MCP default, llms-full.txt, the Brief) show only what the record asserts: valid claims, or a primary source at confidence 0.7 or more. Everything else stays on the record, labelled, in timelines, twins and changelogs.
- Primary regulatory filings (SEC EDGAR) and official status dashboards publish as valid.
- A statement whose source gives no date is shown as undated, never with an invented date.
- Core facts (leadership, ownership, founding, headquarters, financials) are re-checked against Wikidata and their own source links on a schedule; a dead or disagreeing source lowers confidence and marks the claim for review.
- Corrections submitted here are listed for human review on the next scheduled run.
